Step 1: Modify the Google Spreadsheet Template

• Make a copy of this template. (You'll need to sign-in with your Google account.)
• Change the information in the Question, Answer, and Distractor columns.
  • Distractors are optional and only appear in Multiple choice mode.
• Name your Video Game by changing the name in cell A1.
• Do not edit any cell with a blue background.

Step 2: Publish Your Spreadsheet

• Go to File, Share, Publish to web, then click Publish.
• Copy the link generated in the Publish to the web dialog box (you'll need it in Step 3).

Step 3: Get Your Flippity.net Link

• Click on the Get the Link Here tab of the template (at the bottom).
• Paste the link you copied in Step 2 into cell A3.
• Click on the link that appears in cell A5 to go to your Flippity.net video game.

Step 4: Bookmark and Share

• Bookmark the page to find it again quickly.
• Share the Flippity.net link with anyone you want to play your video game.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Video Game work?

• Players are presented with a series of questions and they must shoot down a falling meteorite (submit the right answer) before it falls to the planet's surface. After 5 meteorite strikes, the game is over.
• Meteorites fall faster after every 10 successful shots.

What options are there?

• Players may select two different fonts, two speeds: slow and fast, and two modes: typing the correct answer and multiple choice.
• If you don't specify your own distractors, multiple choice options are created by using the correct answers from other questions.
• You can also mute the sound effects.

How does the game end?

• There is no way to "win" the game. After all questions have been answered they are shuffled and repeated. The further a player gets, the faster the meteorites fall until it's not possible to answer in time.
• You can use the score to set benchmarks and/or declare a winner.
